Emerald Train Station
The Emerald Community Centre is also the owner of the historic Emerald Train Station, built in 1924. The station has been renovated several times over the years, with the recent renovations seeing the installation of all new energy-efficient windows and in 2013, a new roof, exterior lighting, new chimney and exterior painting. The station consists of two levels and three main rooms and two private offices on the upper level seperated by internal doors and each having a separate outside entrance and shared washroom. The building is wired for a computer network and has access to high speed internet. The lower level is presently used as a storage area.
